I only saw this arc in the anime, but my impression of Suna was that he was genuinely trying to give Ýukika a chance, but she kept shying away from him. In any case, I don't think it's cruel of Suna to want to pay Yukika back for her kindness and attention even if he isn't attracted to her, especially if he wants to give her a chance to become a friend. If he's asexual but still interested in deep, potentially romantic relationships, friendship is pretty much where it would have to start.
Great review, but as someone who watched the anime, are there any special features in the manga (such as gag comics or author's notes)? |

Both the author (Kazune Kawahara) and the artist (Aruco) write a page or so in each vol with a message to the readers (in addition to their little greetings from the JP cover flaps, included on one of the end pages of Viz's editions). It's fun to see Kawahara-sensei's notes because sometimes (as in this vol) she draws the characters, so we get to see them in her art style. Also, if you are a design nerd like me, you will get immense joy out of the lovingly-crafted covers: every volume uses a special colour ink, giving the title and other details bright vibrant tones (or in this case, shiny gold to add elegance to the kabuki-esque illustration) :)
