posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
CAPCOM announced a new smartphone game titled Toraware no Palma (Imprisoned Palm) on Wednesday. The game will be available for iOS and Android devices "soon." The game's official website is streaming a promotional video for the game, which outlines the game's plot and mechanics.
In the game, players attempt to discover the past of Haruto Kisaragi, a man with no memories who has been imprisoned in an island for unknown reasons. Players search for clues by talking to inhabitants of the island, triggering events, receiving items, and giving them to Haruto. Players can watch Haruto's actions through multiple security cameras that watch him, and by using the smartphone as if they were viewing Haruto through a glass wall.
Yūichirō Umehara (Aquarion Logos' Hayato Kujo, Snow White with the Red Hair's Mitsuhide Rōen, Amanchu!'s Makoto Ninomiya) will play Haruto. Chisato Mita (Macross Delta) is designing the characters.
The game will have six episodes, with each episode released weekly.
