The official website of Shueisha's YOU magazine revealed on Monday that Kaoru Fukaya will launch a new series for her KANNAsa-n! manga in the magazine's next issue on June 15.
The story of the original manga centers on its straightforward and energetic protagonist Kanna Suzuki, who remains happy even with an unreasonable boss and a no-good husband and mother-in-law. She is a "super housewife" who takes care of the house and raises her kids while working as a fashion designer.
The original manga ran in Shueisha's YOU magazine from 2001 to 2007. The manga is a sequel to Fukaya's one-volume manga Marigold and it was followed by the three-volume sequel series KANNAsa-n! Arafō-hen (Around 40 Edition).
The manga is inspiring a live-action series adaptation starring Naomi Watanabe. It will premiere on TBS in July, and will air on Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m.
