Black Rock Shooter, Steins;Gate Designer huke to Attend Anime Expo
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The official English Twitter account for Good Smile Company announced on Tuesday that it will bring illustrator huke to this year's Anime Expo as a guest. The artist will be present at Good Smile Company's July 8 panel during the event to discuss a new project.
The illustrator huke is perhaps best known for the Black Rock Shooter franchise, which began from an illustration of the eponymous character he posted on pixiv in December 2007. The illustration inspired a song of the same title by supercell using the Hatsune Miku Vocaloid, and later spawned a 2010 OVA and a 2012 television anime, as well as spinoff manga, games, and figures depicting the character. The artist is also known for providing the original character designs for the Steins;Gate franchise, and illustrating art for the franchise.
This year's Anime Expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 5 to July 8, with a pre-show event on July 4.
