XSEED Games Launches an Expanded Version of This Timeless RPG, Inviting Players to Enlist in Thors Academy and Discover an Adventure They Won't Soon Forget
Torrance, Calif. – March 26, 2019 – XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that the definitive console version of the Nihon Falcom-developed RPG, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, is available now on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. The physical day one “Decisive Edition” of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is available in stores now, including the XSEED Games Store, at a retail price of $49.99, while the digital version can be purchased for $39.99 on the PlayStation™ Store.
The PS4™ system version of the game will allow players with save data from the PlayStation®3 and “PS Vita” versions of the title to import their save data to PS4™, however save data will not transfer back from PS4™ to other platforms. Save data for the PS4™ release will similarly carry over to the forthcoming PS4™ release of the sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II as well, granting bonuses to those who accomplished various goals in the first title.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel gives players the chance to follow the activities of Thors Military Academy's specialized “Class VII” on the PS4™ system. This new console release boasts additional features not found in the previous console releases including improved visuals. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on PS4™ system will include the option for dual voiceovers for the first time in the series' history on console, allowing players to enjoy either the original Japanese voices or the critically-acclaimed English voices for each of the games' myriad characters. Other new features designed for returning players include a turbo mode option that speeds up the adventure and 5,000+ additional English audio lines that were previously available only in the PC version of the game.
