Setsucon Announces That Matt Shipman Will Be Joining Setsucon as a Guest
ALTOONA, PA – Setsucon is excited to announce that voice actor, ADR writer, and ADR engineer Matt Shipman will be attending making his first convention appearance since 2019 and first anime convention appearance in PA at Setsucon 2022. Setsucon is Pennsylvania's only annual winter anime convention, hosted by students and alumni of the Penn State Anime Organization. This upcoming convention will take place January 28 – 30, 2022 at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Matt Shipman is best known for voicing Chrome in Dr. Stone, Inasa Yoarashi/Sen Kaibara/Mr. Brave/Takeshita in My Hero Academia, Floch in Attack on Titan, Reki Kyan in Sk8 the Infinity, and Hiro in DARLING in the FRANXX. Additionally, he can be heard Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V as Shay, Arifureta - From Commonplace to World's Strongest as Hajime, One Piece as Cavendish, Akudama Drive as Cutthroat, GOSICK as Kazuya Kujo, Saint Seiya as Hagan, A Certain Scientific Railgun T as Gunha, Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These as Julian Mintz, Goblin Slayer as Greenhorn Warrior, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru as Higekiri, Black Clover as Alecdora, and many other anime. Additionally, Matt has written scripts for Funimation, Discotek Media, and Media Blasters, working on titles such as New Game!, Juden-Chan, and How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?.
